Felt Food Fun

My niece got a fun kitchen from Cosco for her birthday this year.  They have a little bit of play food, but I thought it would be fun to make some more as a sort of Easter gift for them.
So I went on to Pinterest and found some great ideas and awesome tutorials.  My first project - a sandwich.  I found a great tutorial and pattern here.   There are also a ton more patterns that can be found on Pinterest, another good resource for the patterns are found here. http://joeandkristenolsen.com/journal/2010/05/23/felt-food-patterns-tutorials-links-most-are-free#
Here is my progress... I will keep updating as I make more.  I also used the Sizzix big kick and the different circle dies to cut out the felt circles, it works really well.  Egg centres, cookies, lunch meat, tomatoes and more.
These were cut using my sizzix and the circle big dies. Perfect circles everytime (unless I cut some off)

Just cut out little pieces of dark brown felt and you have your chocolate chunks. Sew these on before you sew the back on. I also included padding in the middle to give the cookie more substance.

These are the finished cookies, they are not perfect, my first try, hopefully they will get better. I think next time I will use a blanket stitch with a matching colour on the outside

I made this using the tutorials above. I made my own imagination for the cheese and lettuce and still have to make the tomatoes and lunch meat.

These are my favourite and the easiest to make, just cut out the shapes, and sew on the yolk. I put a little padding behind the yolk to give it some dimension
